Qingdao Guokai High School (China), an officially approved offshore school recognised by the Queensland Department of Education and Training, Australia, is seeking the services of qualified and experienced English & Maths teachers for teaching Queensland senior curriculum.
The school is seeking applicants with relevant experience and knowledge of the Queensland senior curriculum.
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in an area of Education to permit registration of the applicant in both Australia and China.
Applicant must have a combined teaching experience of at least two years within China, Australia or other English-speaking countries, and the capacity to acquire a working knowledge of the Queensland senior curriculum and the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Preferred applicant will have experience working with a Queensland senior school and a strong working knowledge of the Queensland senior curriculum and the QCE.
Must be a native English speaker.
Must be of good character.
Must be willing to work within local environment of the school.
Develop and implement the curriculum licensing program at Qingdao Guokai High School according to the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) guidelines.
Work with local and other foreign teachers to develop their capacity in the delivery of quality senior secondary programs, based on the Queensland senior curriculum.
Assist teachers to develop appropriate planning and assessment that meet the requirements of the Queensland senior curriculum in the context of the school.
Undertake a tutor/mentor support role for local teachers engaged in teacher training and upgrading and, where appropriate, supplement this training program through delivery of workshops and tutorials as determined by the school.
Maintain communication with different stakeholders of the curriculum licensing program at the school to ensure successful implementation of the program.
